Patrick Thomas1

M, b. before 26 August 1857, d. before 8 September 1866
  • Birth*: Patrick Thomas was born before 26 August 1857 at Limerick City, County Limerick, Ireland.1
  • Baptism: He was baptized on 26 August 1857 at St. Mary's Church, Limerick City, St. Mary's Civil Parish, County Limerick, Ireland. Sponsor: Catherine Maher; Priest: Rev. William Fitzgerald.1,2
  • Death*: He died before 8 September 1866 at Ireland. Patrick is not among the Thomases listed on the September 8, 1866 passenger list from Queenstown to New York City. Also, despite he would have only been 13 years old, he is not listed in the 1870 US Census with the Thomas family. And, his nephew, John Madigan, did not recall there being a Patrick Thomas in the family which adds to the belief that he died young. Since he didn't seem to make the trip to the New World, it is believed he died in Ireland.3,4
