    Daniel J. Harrigan, 77, of 1217 Oak avenue, died March 15 in St. Francis Hospital. Mr. Harrigan was northern Illinois agent for the St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Company until his retirement 11 years ago. He had been with the firm since 1918.
    Mr. Harrigan, who was born in Newbury Port, Mass., had lived in Evanston since 1916. He was a 1909 graduate of Brown University, wher he became a member of Sigma Chi.
    Mr. Harrigan was a past president of the Illinois Fire Underwriters Association and of the Illinois Blue Goose, an insurance society. He also belonged to St. Mary's Church and the Knights of Columbus.
    Surviving are his wife, Ruth Connor Harrigan; a son, Daniel J., Jr., of the Oak avenue address; three daughters: Mr. John S. Gleason, Jr., of Chevy Chase, Md; Miss Margaret Harrigan of the Oak avenue address, and Mrs. Frederick Boughton of Sacramento, Cal; a brother Edward H., of Jamesburg, Mass., and 11 grandchildren.
    Services were held at St. Mary's Church and burial was in Calvary Cemetery.1
