Elizabeth Ann Albert “Betty Ann”, “B”, age 67, of Glenview. Beloved wife of Robert Albert. Loving mother of Amy Schmidt and Ryan Albert. Cherished grandmother of Kayla and Alyssa Schmidt. Dear sister of Jim (Carol) Braband, Mary (Larry) Hochendoner, Patricia Bechelli, John (Ann) Braband, Kathy (John) O’Loughlin, and Tom (Susan) Braband. Devoted daughter of the late Doris and Leonard Braband.

Elizabeth passed away peacefully on March 24, 2017 with family at her side after a courageous battle with cancer. Betty Ann, known to many as “B”, was born to the late Doris and Leonard Braband on February 7, 1950. She was the cutest, funniest and most happy go lucky in the entire clan. She was the favorite child and all the kids knew it but no one resented it. She attended St. Francis Xavier grammar school, Marywood High School and had a brief stint for just a taste of college at the University of Dayton. She and her husband Robert met in high school. She married the love of her life in 1973 and have had a blast ever since. They loved going to Vegas and spending time together with family at the beach. She has a very close group of friends since high school that they laughed and celebrated with several times a year. She loved her children with all her heart. Amy and Ryan could talk to her about anything and they were by her side even at the toughest times. She loved their friends too as the Albert front door, snack cabinet and candy drawer was always open. B was an expert shopper and loved searching for outfits for Kayla and Alyssa. She enjoyed spending many weekends making cupcakes, playing games or shopping with her girls who were the light of her life. Betty Ann was blessed with a large and loving family which also included 22 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. They all loved B. When the cancer was diagnosed over 3 years ago she had an optimistic attitude and everyone she encountered on that journey would marvel at how positive she was. “I’m Good” she would always say even when we knew she wasn't. Her smile was infectious. The family would like to especially thank Dr. Elena, RN Rosa and PCT Rose for their incredible compassion and friendship with B throughout this very difficult time.
