During my visit to California in June 2012, I had the good fortune to meet my fourth cousin, once removed, Sal Bigone.  He drove Ralph and me to meet his Mom, Dita Hamilton, who lives about an hour north of San Francisco.  What a treat the whole visit was.  While we were visiting, Dita pointed out a side chair she had in her kitchen which had belonged to Mary McIntyre (1856-1934), her great grandmother.

The wooden side chair with a cane seat and highly carved back, most likely, is from circa 1890s.
